Each month, I look back in reflection on my favorite moments, captures or days. This, in a nutshell, is what I love about photography; documenting the little things. It also provides a glimpse into the past to provoke emotions, share memories and tell stories.
1.Hope for a Better Year
This one is pretty self-explanatory and rings so true that I am unsure of when I may choose to change out the words. MORE positivity, LESS division.
2. Baby’s First Snow!
We obviously were not prepared for this outing based on the shoe choice and lack of gloves. However, he had so much fun experiencing this icy, cold stuff that falls from the sky. It didn’t last long but it was such a treat to see him having fun and learning something new!
3. Sweet Moments
These two are best buddies. It might have something to do with the fact that they spend every morning today while she patiently waits for her afternoon class or it might be that she is just a natural miniature mom. Whatever the reason, watching them share sweet simple moments makes my heart swell. You’re never sure how a new family member will fit in but just a short year after his appearance, I am not quite sure what we ever did without him.
4. Ice Castles
I have been wanting to visit these for a long time and now we finally live somewhere that they have created them. After a 2 hour drive, we arrived at these beautiful structures. Completely in awe, we spent the better part of an hour exploring, sliding, climbing and enjoying these man-made castles. By the end, our toes and noses were frozen but the memories made were priceless.
5. Chubby, red-headed, smiling babies
I ended my month with a quick trip to STL to see some of my favorites, including this little man who is already 4 months. He greeted me with a huge smile and didn’t stop smiling through our entire time together. I can’t wait to see him again at his 8 month session!
I’m a family photographer in the Boulder and Denver area. I blog about my photography sessions, raising young children and what moms should know when they’re looking to hire a family photographer.
