Each month, I look back in reflection on my favorite moments, captures or days. This, in a nutshell, is what I love about photography; documenting the little things. It also provides a glimpse into the past to provoke emotions, share memories and tell stories.
1.Chunky Babies
Two questions for you: 1. Does it get much better than chunky babies in a baby pool splashing wildly? 2. How in the heck have you all been staying cool this summer? I generally try not to complain about the heat in the summer or the cold in the winter but holy cow this summer has been no joke. So we’ve spent a lot of time, attempting to cool ourselves down. Which I really can’t complain about because it’s given me views like this… 😍
2. Me and My Boy
I finally got a moment to be on the other side of the camera and used every second to enjoy some time with my boy. (Side note- props to my hubs for capturing a few shots and every one of them was in focus!)
3. The Sunflower Days of Summer
I wish these flowers lasted all summer long. Their beauty is breathtaking and their size is really amazing but holy BEES. Even though I know that bees like flowers and these fields are full of flowers, I hadn’t put 2 and 2 together. So when we arrived at the fields, I was taken back and a bit terrified of the number of bees buzzing around. While I was frozen by fear at times of maximum-buzzing, this little adventurer was busy zigging and zagging through the rows, running up and down without a fear or care in the world. To her, the field was a maze and she acted as though nothing else, and no one else, was around. I loved watching her explore and it inspired me to a be little less scared.
4. The Hammock
A new addition to the neighbors yard and a great place to hang with your buds.
5. Adventures in CO
A weeklong vacation in Colorado allowed for lots of exploration time around the mountains. This girl’s fearlessness (see sunflowers above) was non-stop when climbing, hiking, and zip-lining. She’s a natural born leader and I was happy to follow closely behind as she lead the way through each adventure.
I’m a family photographer in the Boulder and Denver area. I blog about my photography sessions, raising young children and what moms should know when they’re looking to hire a family photographer.
