My top 5 favorite moments from March 2017
Each month, I look back in reflection on my favorite moments, captures or days. This, in a nutshell, is what I love about photography; documenting the little things. It also provides a glimpse into the past to provoke emotions, share memories and tell stories.
1.Who knew a giant box could be so much fun?
Kids, that’s who. When these boxes arrived with chairs for the studio, the littles in my house had stars in their eyes. After I surprised them by jumping out of the box (yes, it was big enough to fit a full grown adult) they were beyond excited with the chance to use them. Over a week later, and these bad boys are still standing and still the coolest toy in the house, for now.
2. First studio session is in the books!
The day came and went pretty quickly but it was a session I won’t soon forget. Not only was this first studio session, it was also my first pet portrait session and the results were wonderful. I loved every part of working with these special pups.
3. Our girls got new bikes!
And these weren’t just any bikes, they are their first official big girl bikes. They have been riding trikes for quite some time but now we have upgraded to big bikes and they are doing so well!!
4. 5 Years Down, Forever to go
My wonderful, dear husband and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary this month. I couldn’t be happier to be his wife and I look forward to the next 5 and more!
5. Slow Saturday Mornings Painting Nails.
Some Saturday’s we wake up with a laundry list of things to accomplish and get right to work. But one Saturday this past month, the list wasn’t so long and tedious. I had my nails done for my anniversary (which doesn’t usually happen) so naturally the girls were intrigued with painting nails, something they have rarely experienced. I decided painting their nails would be special treat and a good chance to slow down and hang out. So that’s exactly what we did.
I’m a family photographer in the St. Louis area. I blog about my photography sessions, raising young children and what moms should know when they’re looking to hire a family photographer. If that’s interesting to you, sign up below to get email updates straight to your inbox. Thanks for reading!
