A Day in the Life: Easter Egg Hunt

Hey Friends! Welcome to the first installment of my new blog series:

A Day in the Life

When you step in front of my camera, my job is to capture the essence of your family within a short amount of time. In order to do this perfectly and easily, I realized that first I had to learn how capture myself, my family and our interactions. From there, I spent time examining what it feels like to be seen through the lens. This put me in a position to better understand my clients feelings, needs, nuances and so forth.

My goal with this type of post is to share my story with you all. When working with clients, I realize that I am asking a lot of them. They are letting me into their lives and sharing their story with me. So I feel it’s only fair to do the same in return.

These posts won’t have a lot of words or explanation, and they may be long or short, much like the sessions of the families I work with. But rather they share a story through imagery, which in my opinion is much more impactful than words.

I hope you enjoy!

I’m a family photographer in the St. Louis area. I blog about my photography sessions, raising young children and what moms should know when they’re looking to hire a family photographer. If that’s interesting to you, sign up below to get email updates straight to your inbox. Thanks for reading!

Im Emily. Oh hey!

Hi, I'm Emily. I'm a St. Louis Family and Lifestyle Photographer and this is my blog!

As a busy mother of 2, I know how quickly time can slip through your fingers. Being able to take the most simple and precious moments in my daughters’ lives and turn them into art that our family can admire forever has been a wonderful experience. The best part about it? I can do the same for you.
