I got really sick, of being sick, of the rain so I decided to something about it.
In case you missed it (or don’t live in the midwest), we here in St. Louis have been bombarded with a buttload of rain over the course of the past. Yes, butt load is a real value of measurement, (look it up at your own risk.)
So, instead of complaining about the rain for the umpteenth time, we changed our perspective and decided to embrace it. If you have ever been in a grumpy mood over something and tried to change your perspective about the thing making you grumpy, while being grumpy about it, then you know how hard it is.
But thats exactly what we did.
We sat by the window for about an hour chatting and waiting for our break and when it the falling water started to ease up a bit, we ran to get our boots and hats and dashed outside.
We made the most of our rain day with riding bikes and jumping in puddles. Then when our fingertips were numb and our pants were soaked, we ran back in for dryer clothes and a cup of hot cocoa.
If you haven’t changed your perspective lately, I highly suggest it.
