Over the past weekend we celebrated both of our daughter’s birthdays at one awesome “Art Party”.
Right now in our house, art is in. I think I have cultivated this love for creating out of a fear that I had when I first became a mother. I was so terrified that my children would be too tied to technology (which I still think is fair for today’s world). So for as long as I can remember, we have been doing art projects for every rainy day, slow afternoon and holiday gift.
When the time came to ask my girls what kind of party they wanted to have, my oldest immediately said she wanted to paint with her friends and cousins and my youngest immediately agreed. Art party it is.
I was inspired to use watercolor papers, bright colors and all things paint related at every table. The kids had a blast, the weather was gorgeous and we ended the day with full hearts after being surrounded by so much love.
Thank you to all who helped make this party extra special. Here are a few of my favorite snaps from the day.
