When the rain won’t stop and we want to go outside but we can’t, I tend to lean to crafts for entertaining the littles.
Right now, it’s literally been raining for 10 days straight. And I just can’t. We are so anxious to get out and play in the spring warmth, but it’s not here yet! With Easter just one day away and a couple of rambunctious kiddos feeling rather “bored” of our typical indoor activities, I pulled out a bunch of construction paper and decorations and we made Easter eggs.
I have to say that even though it seems like such a simple project, we had SO MUCH FUN. The girls loved cutting, glueing, decorating, snacking, laughing and chatting. I feel so fulfilled as a mother when I can show my girls how to take something dull (gloomy, rainy day) and turn it into a day to be remembered. It just goes to show that with a little creativity and a lot of glue, you can turn any rainy day into a memory that will last a lifetime.
