G. Family- Outdoor Family Session

Typically when I approach an outdoor family photo session with conditions like we faced with this family, I may be nervous and a little doubtful of the outcome. It was threatening rain, cloudy, windy and pretty chilly but we decided to continue on with the session.

BOY AM I GLAD WE DID.

You want to know my opinion of the outcome? PURE magic.

This family is no stranger to my camera. I have worked with them numerous times and each time gets better than the last. They are lake people who have a cottage that they visit in the summer time so when I suggested a lake, mom was all in. They have also spent time living in Seattle so when we spoke about the clouds, she didn’t shy away. In a weird way, this day and this location seemed to capture their essence more than the times before. It was like they felt in their element and let their personalities shine. I enjoyed my time with them and am so excited with the way these turned out.

Here are a few of my favorites (dead fish and all).

I’m a family photographer in the Boulder and Denver area. I blog about my photography sessions, raising young children and what moms should know when they’re looking to hire a family photographer. Im Emily. Oh hey!

Hi, I'm Emily. I'm a St. Louis Family and Lifestyle Photographer and this is my blog!

As a busy mother of 2, I know how quickly time can slip through your fingers. Being able to take the most simple and precious moments in my daughters’ lives and turn them into art that our family can admire forever has been a wonderful experience. The best part about it? I can do the same for you.
