In general, I call my style “playful” because I have found that to be the most relatable way to work with younger families. But every shoot has to have at least a few shots of everyone smiling at the camera. I have heard it be called “the grandma shot” because it’s the one grandma wants on her mantel.
This family was pure joy to work with. I have known them for many, many years and am proud to call them friends. I haven’t worked with them since their youngest daughter was born and I was excited for their session. As I said before, In the name of honesty, bigger families aren’t always easy to get focused all at once but these guys are seasoned pros and made my job beyond easy!
We explored a large garden park and it was so fun to sit back and watch the kids take in the nature. The oldest boy loved being out there and was so excited to see what was around each turn. His littlest sister was fearless and even though she has the smallest legs, she makes up for it with her courage. And we can’t forget about the middle sis, she has a personality that can’t be measured, only enjoyed. To say we had fun is an understatement.
Here are my favorite shots. Playful. Explorative. Joyful. Adorable.
